Who watched the whole game last night?
Posted by The Sad Banana on 9/29/14 at 8:34 am00
I am not bragging when I tell you all that I turned the game off before halftime when it was 17-0. I'm not happy that I did it, I'm not proud that I quit, I'm pretty ashamed and I feel like it's the first time in a long time I just couldn't take that shite anymore.
I had a great day yesterday. Some good life stuff happened during my Sunday yesterday but then this game...this game just started to sour it all and I decided to not let it. The only way was to turn it off.

I watched the whole thing, but it's understandable if some turned it off.

I did, but I broke out my GameCube to play some Metal Gear Solid while the game was on the computer. Got slightly intrigued when they got it within 14. The fake punt made me realize I needed to focus more on Sniper Wolf.

Turned it off after our 1st TD, but kept recording the game. I decided a full night's sleep was more important than watching the final 13min of a blowout.
During my coffee this morning, I watched the rest of the game, without knowing the result. I was full of hope when we pulled within two scores.
Now I has a sad.

I turned it off at halftime. I was disgusted with myself for doing it.
And I watched some comically bad games during the Ditka and Haslett years.

I watched it all but lost a ton in interest after the Morestead roll right.

I knew I was going to be in a pissy mood this morning. I didn't want the make it worse by staying up late and getting angry before bed.

Off at halftime

I turned it off @ 31-3 when Jimmy fumbled on 10 yard line. Then I checked score later and saw 31-17 and turned it back on. Then we tarded out on 4 and 15 and I turned it back off.

I waited until it was 35-3 until I put on Hell on Wheels.
I just couldn't take it anymore.....I was so pissed that I think I scared my kids
I knew that it would be a long game once Dallas drove down the length of the field (with no resistence) on the first drive, and we went scoreless on the first couple of drives.

I sat my arse in that stadium until it was all over. And their obnoxious trash talking is just embarrassing to me.

I watched the entire thing, we were playing the Cowboys so I had faith that they would choke until the game ended

I made it to the last Dez Bryant TD and still felt bad for it but in my defense I wake up at 3am

Watched the whole thing. But I contemplated turning it off for the entire second half. That doesn't make me any better than someone who turned it off, it just makes me indecisive and a little more sleep deprived.

Dude you are taking it way too seriously if you let an nfl game have any bearing on your happines.

I have a hard time turning off games like that. Even if I go watch something else, I'll constantly check back in.
I missed the bluegrass miracle. Don't want that to happen again.

Honestly I felt that they were throwing the game at this point. The intent & execution of this play just looked so sloppy I couldn't help but wonder if jerry had lined a pocket or two.

Seriously? A football started to ruin the real things that happened in your life? That's pretty sad in itself.
17-0...I gave the remote to my wife and went upstairs to play video games for a few minutes before I crashed

I watched it, but I started playing on my ipad and talking on the phone and just had the game on in the background.
I laughed when Al Michaels tried to get the tv audience interested by thinking there was a chance the Saints would rally.
We all knew this team didn't have it in them to do that.
