The NFL probably wants a GB-NO matchup next week. Better ratings than Minn-GB I would think. Once we get to GB yeah it’ll probably be rigged.

for SURE when we hit GB

they will treat us well tomorrow to make us feel good then throw us to the dogs at GB

the NFL has shown that they are more than prepared to suck the tits dry of aaron rodgers and the packers. what’s really curious is who they will want to win if GB plays SF.

We will have 10+ penalties against Green Bay and they’ll have maybe 2 or 3.

If we get past Green Bay somehow then I actually expect SF-NO to be officiated fairly evenly

The NFL would probably enjoy a rematch of Super Bowl I.

Anyone who thinks the NFL is rigging games is an idiot. Plain and simple.

I think the NFL wants to see a Brady vs Rodgers Super Bowl, so I’m fully expecting to get the shaft next weekend.

Anyone who calls anyone else an idiot for thinking the NFL is rigged is in fact an idiot.

Ok, let's play this game. I'll ask the same questions I ask anytime an idiot suggests the NFL is rigged (though I rarely if ever get answers).

Who is rigging the NFL? (be specific)

Who is it rigged in favor of?

Why is it rigged in favor of the people in the previous question?

What benefit do you think these preplanned outcomes provide vs. the downside of bringing down the entire multibillion dollar industry when this rigged enterprise is ultimately revealed?

Green Bay. NFL would love Packers in Super Bowl for 100 year anniversary.

You only answered 1.5 of the questions.

And to confirm, it's just rigged in favor of the packers this year because of an arbitrary anniversary? And the fact that they could maybe mention it in the lead in and pregame? That seems like a lot of risk for the NFL to take while risking the viability of the entire league.

And if it's rigged in favor of GB, how was this play which was to tie the game late, not called PI? It was blatant and happened with under 1 minute so a booth review was possible. (there was another one earlier in the game that all agreed was also PI but not called).

Saints at GB is where they’ll pull their BS. They don’t want it to be so high profile this year as a game changing play to decide the Super Bowl teams

I don’t think everything is rigged.

I do think 100% goodell does not like Payton.
I also know 100% in my heart the rams game was rigged last year.
The league stood to benefit if the LA rams became relevant, selling tickets to help pay back the nfl that staked there new stadium.
It stunk the high heavens that Multiple officials put on the game were from California. Wasn’t the Atlanta GM in Charge of assigning ref crews?
Hell who knows, Betting money may have even been involved with ties to those refs in some crooked way for that game.
Anyone who doesn’t think the league wanted rams in the super bowl last year is an idiot.
The real question is who gave those refs the orders to attempt to facilitate that outcome as best as possible. I do also think last year they attempted to eliminate us in the divisional round against the eagles. Very 1 sided officiating but we beat that fix. Doing so would have cleared the path for the rams to host nfc title game and better those chances of Rams reaching super bowl which was their desired goal.

Another example, a few years back when we played @atlanta on Thursday night. Saints win basically woulda clinched the division. Atlanta winning made the last 2 or 3 weeks of the season have 2 or 3 more extremely meaningful games between panther falcons, saints panthers, and whoever saints played in order to decide the division.

No one watches those games nearly as much of saints had clinched that night. If I remember right, Roger blank had that day helped in coming to agreement to extend roger goodell.

NFL wants at least one historic franchise in the NFL 100 year anniversary Super Bowl

GB-SF will be your NFCCG because then it doesn’t matter who wins out of the Chiefs and Ravens.

I know we won't as fans, but I think the team needs to go in with the mindset we will need to overcome some bad calls - and then do so.

So if the Saints win the Super Bowl this year... is the NFL rigged?

You can defeat the rig

It’s far more difficult a path, but it can be done. So the answer to that question is could still be yes.
Certain games are rigged via strategic calls/no calls that don’t guarantee an outcome, it just increases the odds of a desired team winning.
