Was wondering where everyone is planning on watching in the city
And or is there any big watch parties in the works?
TIA

EDIT: ok, I probably worded it poorly. I’m aware every tv in Louisiana will have the game on.
I’m wondering more if there’s anywhere that’s maybe setting up a big projector screen outside or something like that since there’s going to be so many people.
We usually watch game’s at lucys but just being there before last weeks game it was shoulder to shoulder 2 hours prior to kickoff

Any recommendations for CBD or Warehouse District?

I'd like to take in the atmosphere around the dome for a bit.

Locals go to Fat City to party Tourists of course prefer 'Ye olde Bourbon Street. There are endless place to watch the game. Take your pick.

It’s going to be freezing Sunday so not sure you want to be outside. Every place will be crowded. Maybe consider a restaurant like Meril or company burger that has a bar & TVs

Otherwise it’s the same usual suspects in the area. I like Vic’s, rusty nail, district is ok. Maybe in bar inside Harrahs. That place holds a crowd pretty well

The rusty nail always does a good job. Music during commercials, good drink specials, and McClure’s is usually there cooking some BBQ . Last week they set up a projector with tables and chairs under a big tent in their back parking lot. Don’t know what the crowd was like but I went over around noon before walking to the dome at 2:00 and they had a decent crowd already. Place was PACKED all season for games but this was without the added projector and additional seats. It’s where I would be if I wasn’t going to the game. Will be cold as shite though

Indian food buffet mixed with getting hammered for the game, sounds like a recipe for disaster the next morning

There were plenty Super Bowl watch parties in the Quarter in 2010 that were legit. Ernst Cafe was $100 and it was a great time. I know there were at least a few places on Bourbon that had viewing parties in their upstairs with balconies for a bit more. I hope with two weeks notice more of these are put together in the Quarter if we beat the Rams

Nola Brewery/Urban South is also fun. Urban South boils shrimp every Sunday, I'm pretty sure.

I wish somewhere in New Orleans had a set up like the Varsity in Baton Rouge.

You can see that there is a variety of places to watch the game..The one thing that is common is that you have to get to the place early. If not you will be on your feet the whole game. Last weekend I got to my place an hour and a half before kickoff. It was packed a half hour before kickoff.
