This would have to include some surprise drops that still fit in the not too crazy category. Mine...

#11 Malik Hooker, I'm counting Thomas in the full no-way group. Hooker though, one big year, the injuries, and the overall valuation of safeties makes me think there is a chance. Personally, I have not investigated enough but just going by the big boards and general commentary. After a legit pass rusher, a playmaker in the Ed Reed mold could revolutionize this D (like the one year Sharper had left).

#32 traded straight for Malcolm Butler. Most years I would say go for the rookie investment. The high rate of 1st Rd CB failures and the full in-to-win with Brees makes getting a proven product the better option.

#42 DE Tarell Basham or Charles Harris, such incredible depth I think you could get a guy this good here. Maybe already gone but I would put Joe Mixon as my 42A.

#76 CB Sidney Jones, IF he lasts this long I would jump on that investment of a 1st Rd quality CB for 2018. If no investment there, invest in a Streif replacement. OT Taylor Moton or Roderick Johnson. I think gone by here but Curtis Samuel would be a big go if around.

#103 DE Derek Rivers, LB Ryan Anderson, QB Nathan Peterman, CB Cameron Sutton, or RB Marlon Mack
, whichever fits with the other picks best.

#196 & 229
, you can throw your own darts to guess. I throw in RB Elijah McGuire and QB Josh Dobbs

#42 for Butler would be a better dream. I've just given it up as possible at this point.

For mine just make the #32 a pass rusher in that case. Taco, McKinley, or maybe even Harris there too.

For the draft to actually happen, tired of mock draft after mock draft.

The most ideal thing to me would be to trade back and maybe pick up another 2nd and 3rd round pick.

Make Cleveland, Arizona or Philly trade up and pick up even more picks. I would like Barnett or Watt or Charlton a lot more at 13 or 14 with a few more picks in tow than at 11.

If we added another second round pick while staying inside the top 15, I would fap. Would allow us to snag a ton of really good players.

I said something similar in another post.

If we have to trade 42 and 76 for Butler, if we move back 2 or 3 spots with either Philly or AZ, and get a 2nd and possibly a 3rd, it will essentially cancel out the loss of losing picks to get Butler and we can still get the guys we want/need.

I'm gonna discount the Butler trade even though I consider it ideal because we just don't know what the compensation would be. Obviously my ideal would be to trade a 7th for Butler but that isn't gonna happen so I'll just not include it.

11. McCaffrey
32. Charles Harris.
42. Gareon Conley / Tre White / Marlon Humphrey / Kevin King OR Zach Cunningham.
76. Desmond King
102. Tarell Basham

Would you rather him or Howard? I think Howard would transform the offense a lot more than McCaffrey would.

Although, none of it matters unless the Butler deal comes through. If that deal happens I can see it being more likely they take an elite guy like Howard or CM at 11. But right now, with still a lot of holes, I just don't see them making that call.

I would rather McCaffrey. I like Howard, but we already have 4 roster-worthy TEs, while realistically we only have one, maybe two roster-worthy RBs. I think at the peak of our offense (2011), we had both a fantastic pass-catching TE and a dynamic out-of-the-backfield RB in Jimmy & Sproles. But I think there is a much better chance that we can repeat that with Fleener/Hill/Hooman at TE than with Ingram/Lasco at RB.

I think McCaffrey is the most dynamic RB to come out in a decade. The guy would be absolutely unstoppable in our offense IMO.

I'd love either one, but unless the Saints can trade for Butler without giving up 32, I just dont see it being plausible.

Edge rush has been a problem for far too long. But I guess if they took CM they feel like there's enough depth to allow someone they like to fall to 42. If we kept 32, I would love McCaffrey.
