What happened to some of the creative running plays?

In the link above, go to about the 37 second mark, and they show that same style of play where we faked an end around and handed it off up the middle. This play seemed to work quite a bit. What happened to these types of creative wrinkles? If you keep watching the highlights, that play was repeated quite a bit.

if the o line cant push anyone backwards then there is no where they can run through. you dont run over people, you run past them or not at all. in the saints case, for 3 years it has been not at all

Along with poor O line play, we haven't had a running back as good as Deuce in 10 years

Our dumbass coach refuses to the run the ball more than twice on the same drive. Then he has to put a different back for every damn play. And he can't draft worth a shite so we have nobody to block if we decide to run the ball
