Are we going to upgrade this position? We obviously aren't upgrading it through the draft so who can we get through free agency or are we happy with what we have?

Mickey Loomis said this evening that the FO is comfortable with who they have at the position.

Sounds good. I thought they would try to get someone there but if they're happy then ok.

Thomas staying healthy this year is gonna be key. Because not having Sanders anymore if Thomas goes down would suuuuck

He’s injury prone too.

The plan can’t be “hope the WRs don’t get hurt”.

Brees' weak arm held back a lot of the receivers the past few seasons

Calloway is the #2 right now I don’t think Sean really thinks he needs another receiver. This feels like when Colston was a starter for us his rookie year. People didn’t give him much thought as a 7th round pick but Sean saw something. I’m not saying he will be as good as Colston but it feels similar to that draft plus they both wear #12.!

There are some good points in this thread IMO. I think Saints pick a WR only if their perceived value is right and Payton is "in love".

Brees did hold back the offense explosiveness, so we don't truly know the WR corps outside of exact timing, etc. Payton loves his toys too, but I think recently he's been talked out of it and find those gems here and there. Kamara is a great example.

I'm super curious as to whom the Saints wanted to trade up for with Lions #7, etc. Was it a Sean guy or a top defensive guy?
