It seems like he plays poorly or at best mediocre for 85% of the game but makes one great throw and then people say “he’s got all the tools/potential, he just needs to put it all together”.

I think Darnold is a lot better than what he has produced with the Jets, but I am not in favor is giving away a draft pick for him.

Darnold is in a shite situation with no offensive line, average and below wide receivers, 40 year old running back, and no coaching. It is an absolute joke. I’m not convinced that he is a good qb but would be willing to give up a 3rd to let him compete with Jameis on a good offense with Payton. I’m not willing to give up anything higher and if he is terrible and we waste a third I can live with it. Payton liked Darnold the best out of that qb class but at the same time pretty much said the whole class was trash. There is also no guarantee that we actually resign Jameis if other teams with more cap gain interest.

Who are the three morons who upvoted this post? If we got him for a third or fourth, sure why not as a backup. But he’s not really starter material at this point.
