Kamara Tennessee Highlights

Whatever happens this season, we might've gotten Akiem Hicks, Jimmy Graham, and even Thomas Morstead in the 3-5th rounds of a draft, but good lord we got Alvin Mother fricking Kamara in the 3rd round. God Bless Jeff Ireland.

Kamara was SP’s pick

He was a third-round pick who cost us a 2nd, so he can't be considered a third rounder. At first glance, it looked like we gave too much for an SP plaything. He has proven his worth many times over, he is essentially first round value, but he isn't a true third rounder.

Butch Jones should be fired again and have to pay back his buyout for not using Kamara more than he did

Traded up in the third to get him. Really wanted mcCaffrey earlier, but Carolina took him, in the same mold, but better between the tackles imo. A bargain at twice the price.

I am glad Kamara has more tread on the tires and his coach kept him undervalued.

We win. Thanks coach.

A future 2nd is valued as a third. The actual pick we used to get him was a third. Even considering the 2nd we used in the trade, it's nearly a third.

The OP says we got him in the third. We did.

So go frick off with that bullshite.

I think Kamara was Payton's 3rd choice.

He would have take McCaffery in the first if he was available. Carolina beat us to him.

He would have taken Dalvin Cook in the 2nd but Minnesota traded up ahead of us to take him.

So he made the trade of the century giving up next year's 2nd to grab Kamara in the 3rd before someone else grabbed him.
Funny how this turned out to be the grand slam!!!

I would have been pissed with McCaffrey at 11, furious if we had traded up.

And that's not because I didn't think McCaffrey wouldn't do well with us, but we needed a top tier defender and McCaffrey isn't the talent Bush was when we drafted him 2nd overall.

The two backs I wanted were Perine (if we went power back and waited until the third) or Kamara, but I thought Kamara was a mid second lock with a chance to go in the first (thought we'd use our first on him, and then our second).

Who's better between the tackles? Because if you mean McCaffrey I don't care if it's your opinion. It's dead wrong.

McCaffrey sucks as an inside runner, and unless you give him a clear hole he is going down at first contact at or behind the line. Dude sucks at breaking tackles and gaining extra yards. If he can't beat you cleanly with speed he's going down.

To be fair Kamra was out due to injury a lot at Tennessee.

Also there is no college coach that can use Kamara type backs in college football as well as SP can in the NFL with Drew Brees.

Nope. He wasn't on our radar. Everyone knew McCaffrey wasn't getting past Carolina since their RBs coach was with McCaffrey last year.

Possible but we had other needs.

Payton personally worked out Kamara and that was our first choice at RB. When was still there in the third, Payton wasn't letting him get away.
