Was 10 yards from Diggs when the ball was in the air and clearly watched it go to him. How does he not let him catch and then corner him and tackle him? This play is fricking mind blowing. There is no excuse or anything as to why he attacked this play the way he did. A High School player could have played this play better....

The fact he was staring at a wide open receiver at that point is mind boggling as well.... what the hell kind of defense allows that to happen?

I also don’t get why we didn’t have at least 1 player standing at the goal line to protect the endzone

Here is your answer:

SELFISH PLAY!!!!

He wanted to dislodge the ball instead of tackle. Completely wasn’t thinking about time left or timeouts left or anything. He wanted to dislodge the ball. And that was completely selfish. He fricked up period.

We had time to recover from everyone else’s frickups and there were plenty but this one happen with no time left. We could not overcome his selfish frickup.

Actually it was easier than that even. He could literally have run up to diggs and simply caught him as he came down with the ball and pulled him to the ground without letting his feet touch the ground. Game over and absolutely no way for diggs to break the tackle as he would have never had a foot on the ground.

I don’t think that was the case at all. I think he was trying to avoid a pass interference call.

He was pulling up, trying to avoid the PI call. Simple as that. Still fricking sucks.

I couldn't disagree with this more. I think he tried to pull up" because he arrived before the ball and was worried about pass interference. I didn't see any attempt to make a big hit.

I agree, Everytime we go to that damned soft zone it ends badly, DC is almost as much as fault as player

Williams is going to be the goat for a horrendous play call. Dude was in a position that requires a complete frick up to even happen. I'll never get over that call. Allen deserves a ton of blame.
