Saints end the season at 13-3 and....

Super Bowl LIII at Atlanta

New Orleans Saints (13-3) vs. Houston Texans (12-4)

The Saints are probably slightly better than the Texans. The biggest difference is the offensive line. New Orleans protects Drew Brees well and also opens up lots of holes for Alvin Kamara. The Texans, conversely, have a putrid front with lots of unproven and miserable blockers. This did not matter in the middling AFC South, and they didn't have to battle any premier pass-rushers during their playoff games thus far, aside from Justin Houston. Blocking Cameron Jordan and Sheldon Rankins will prove to be difficult.

Deshaun Watson will do whatever it takes to keep this game close, but the Saints have the superior roster overall. That's why they are the projected Super Bowl LIII champions.

Saints 24, Texans 21

New Orleans I can see with the roster and an elite veteran Drew Brees leading the way, but Houston? That is definitely a hot take for a QB who only started only 6 games and won half of them. I am not sure why everyone is willing to crown Watson when he hasn't even played a full season. If Andrew Luck is back Houston and Jacksonville will return back to irrelevance and Tennessee may have a shot at a wildcard from that division. In the AFC it will most likely be Pittsburgh and New England in the AFC Championship.

I swear I read on that site recently where they were crapping on the Saints o-line. It didn’t make sense because pretty much everyone who covers this stuff recognizes the Saints as having like a top 3 o-line. They basically called Peat a bust, and said the 3 interior guys sucked if I remember correctly.

Based on 6 games from Deshaun Watson? I’m not so sure. He could have a RG3 like dropoff. Or he could trend up like Russell Wilson. They have talent all over the field for sure but they’ll need Watson to be like he was. And I’m not sure he can be that

Would winning a SB in Atlanta top the 09 year?

I think it would be pretty close.
