Agreed. Our old O line would've gotten a flag for throwing Vacarro around after a hit like that. Our new line is pretty young and still probably figuring out how the hell the game is that fast and so they did nothing.

Ryan never seemed to have recovered after the late hit from Vacarro... PRICELESS!... worth every penny!...

If a Qtr back wants to wait till the last second to take the slide, then they deserve the hit. The way the rules now apply, all a qtr back need do o convert a third and long is scramble nd tuck the ball away for a run. Doesn't matter how many yards they gain if they time the slide right. They get the automatic 1st down.
The rule should specify that the qtr back isn't protected if they slide with a player within 3 yards.

Not sure I understand this. He drove the length of the field and just needed SJax to catch the ball and they would've won. Think you're putting too much stock in to that hit. But if it makes you feel better - be my guest.

Has the 2nd most wins since 2008 (to Pats I believe). Playoff wins is another topic but you were talking about a regular season game.
