If we get either Quinn or Ansah I’d say this off-season was a minor success. I think losing Unger fricking blows and really hurts us. As does Ingram. But getting Cook was HUGE.

He's Gronk compared to what we have behind him lol

His last two seasons were pretty solid and 2018 was his best year. I’ll take a 1000 yard TE.

So with the superbowl being in Miami this season and us getting our tight end i guess we can break this back out

He's always been a consistent receiver.

We are seriously missing that right now from the tight end spot.

He’s a really good TE, just not one of the Elite 5 or so.

Cook is who I've been waiting on. I'm not saying that he's a lock to give us a legit threat at TE, but I'd say it's very likely & he was easily the best option. Not even close actually.

No other F.A. TE is worth a shite, & I don't want to be forced to trade up for a TE. There's also no guarantee that the rookie TE will be ready for the 2019 season. Actually, history tells us that he won't be ready.

This is, by far, the best possible outcome at the TE position. Also makes the draft much easier.

I was having a pretty average day until I read this. Thanks for brightening up my day, Jared Cook.

Value of the signing will depend on cost. He’s a one dimensional tight end unlike Hill and Watson are/were, so that will cause some issues but is definitely a threat as a receiver.

I mean if we could've traded a 7th rounder for Zach Ertz that would've been a pretty great outcome at the TE position

Dude I know. He’s a good player. He’s definitely underperformed for a good bit of his career given his physical gifts though. We’ve been so starved for a guy worth half a shite it’s like we think he’s a 2011 Jimmy/Gronk combo.

Now we can draft Percy Harvin 2.0 (Parris Campbell) and a few more OL and call it a day.
