Every insider is saying Cook to Saints is a foregone conclusion.
The only thing that makes sense for why it’s not official yet is something with contracts/cap hits being shaken out. It’s known out there that the Saints are after Quinn and he hasn’t been dealt yet.
Doesn’t take an insider to guess that might be the holdup.
If no Quinn/Ansah, might as well eat more cap hit this year and not move on any extensions/restructures.

The #Patriots made a hard run at FA TE Jared Cook, though by this point his agent has been exclusively negotiating with the #Saints. I’m told they are very close on a final deal... but not yet signed.
