Devito is a good 3-4 guy recording at least 50 tackles in two of the past three seasons. good locker room guy that has started for the Jets since 2010. PFT states several teams including the Jets have called upon him. Should we? Have we?

Jets are probably gonna get him re-signed, they apparently have a bigger role in store for him. They want to run more 43, with Mo Wilk and Devito inside and Coples at LE.

Sione Pouha could be available soon though. He's older and has back problems, but is a top NG when healthy. He can also play outside, but PFF named him one of their prototypes for NG a while back. Jets need money and his contract ans 2012 season may cause him to be a casualty.

rated very highly by PFF

The Jets hope to re-sign DE Mike DeVito before the start of free agency, but the Newark Star-Ledger reports as many as six teams have "inquired" since the beginning of Saturday's legal tampering period.
ESPN New York believes DeVito is the "best bet to stick around" of the Jets' in-house free agents, but Gang Green is going to have to pay up if he's truly drawing interest from six teams. It would be unwise to overpay for a player who turns 29 in July and doesn't play on passing downs. Mar 9 - 5:50 PM

Payton mentioned going after Tier Two players. He looks like Tier One in performance and cost

in King's MMQB he was mentioned this a.m.-

Three under-the-radar guys generating more interest than you've heard: Steelers corner Keenan Lewis, Jets defensive end/tackle Mike DeVito, Chargers guard Louis Vasquez.
