I was busy this past week and was checking twitter my phone while I was out during practices. I couldn't really post updates real time.

#Saints WR Andy Tanner has been waived 17 teams since 2010. Brutal business. He's having a solid camp this year.

I'm hoping for him to make the team. He could be Lance Moore's successor.

Is Arrington in camp? I saw a #87 in a video this morning but didn't know who it was.

I really like Andy Tanner. It always seems like he's around late in camp and he has this stigma of being the guy who just does things right, but isn't going to outjump, outrun or outmove anybody.

This confused me for sure. Think he means 17 times, not that he's been waived from 17 teams.

He beat some people deep yesterday. You can do it with speed, or you can do it with excellent route running.

Such a Garic move. He blocked me for poking fun at his pink polo.

Any report on Stills or Toon and how they looked?

I hear Toon is taking Colston's snaps and is looking good so far. Stills finally started making some noticeable catches yesterday.

My hope is that we can stash Stills on the practice squad, or that he get's a paper cut and we put him on IR.

Colston, Moore and Morgan are for sure.

Hakim has blazing speed; faster than Morgan. Having two home run threats would be nice.

Toon has the size and can be a valuable redzone target.

Tanner is reliable and get's open a lot.

I hate keeping Roby just for a gunner spot.

Marques Colston (foot), Patrick Robinson (knee) still not practicing and still on PUP. Of course so is Victor Butler.

yeah, he's got to push out a Toby IMO. I don't see how colston, moore, morgan, toon, and stills aren't on team.

Here's the thing though. Andy Tanner would be useful, but he wouldn't necessarily see the field before the other five guys. So, if he's just sitting on the bench, wouldn't you rather have Roby on the team who's greatest asset is special teams? I hate not having Tanner, but it's still really nice to have a great special teamer with Roby.

It all comes down to numbers and how you allocate your roster spots. A 6th WR who sits all year or a 6th WR who is also a great special team guy. You get more value with Roby than Tanner, even though Tanner is probably the better receiver.

I hope he proves me wrong, though. Tanner is one those players you want to see break into the league.
