Um, New Orleans is a total shithole run by idiots. Yeah, congrats on getting paid to play a sport and help mask the decay.

appreciating what he did in the past for the Saints at QB is a different conversation from saying he's a liability in 2021

You have the right to pull for lil Tommy Brady but he was finished when he left the Patriots. Maybe Tampa will allow him to stay to watch his hair turn gray but the only records he is breaking these days are geriatric records.

I have been a Saint's fan since the Manning days. Been with them through good and bad. I let the comments go about the kneeling and backtracking, although i lost respect, I still was hoping for another super bowl.

When he put the name of a rapist on his helmet was the last straw for me. I cannot support someone that support a rapist. I am tired of people jumping to conclusions before the facts come out.

That goes for all the players that did this.

Ignore the trolls from the youngsters. There are a few of us here that have been on the Saints wagon since the early 70’s. You won’t hear any bs about Brees from us. We suffered through the “bag” days and moved to tears in 2009.

Thanks for the memories Drew. Thanks for the courage, leadership & pride you brought to a team & a city after Katrina.

The youngsters don’t get it & never will.

I’m starting to think the only reason so many on this board want Tom Brady so badly is because he supported Trump in the past

You're likely not wrong but you think it might also have to do with the fact Brady has a fist full of rings?

Maybe you shouldn't think so much. It's pretty clear that you lack the capacity to do so in an effective manner.

I'm not going to shite on Drew Brees....mainly because I was a Saints fan in the 80s, 90, and 00s before he came around.

He put the Saints on the map basically and made them a team to be respected and reckoned with for the better part of a decade and a half. He is a sure fire no doubt hall of famer.

However, the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Drew Brees and his career with the Saints is how disappointing it is that he only won 1 Super Bowl....I mean it's a big shadow.

I want you to show me a picture or video showing Brees kneeling DURING the anthem. Not the time he did it before and then stood. Go try to find the footage.

Yeah you are making stuff up, I never said he kneeled during the anthem.

But he did kneel in merry old England like a little bitch. And Drew and wife went on the 2020 apology tour, begging forgiveness for Drew’s respect of the American flag. That is cucking on America, and cucking America is what I said in my post.

And the positive impact he and the Saints made on NOLA since Brees and Payton arrived. Made the cesspool look like a major player from a national basis winning the Super Bowl and the constant playoff teams.

I have seen that take too often on here. I can only assume that those have never played team sports. The entire team (not just Brees) put the name on the helmets in practice. It was a sign of team unity. How could the leader of the team be the only one to refuse to do so and still lead that team? If that is your big beef, I would think you are just looking for an excuse to crucify him for something.

Agree completely. Too many 2006ers on here who are spoiled by the success of this team under Brees.

It's actually a perfect take. Drew wanted to end his career with a shot at the superbowl and didn't want to deal with all the bullshite politics. A big part of me wishes he would've stuck to his words but he knew the media and crazy libs would paint him as some racist for all of eternity. He decided that dealing with the bullshite that comes from it just wasn't worth it. I don't blame him for doing with he did.
