The legends all hang on to long, and management is always reluctant to force them out the door. P Manning in Denver/Indy, E Manning in NYG, Favre in GB and Minnesota, Marino in Miami, Montana with the 49ers, Rivers in SD, and the list goes on.

It's time to use Taysom more in a real QB role, rather than as a Swiss Army knife. Defenses don't respect Drew's deep ball anymore, because he doesn't have one.

The plug was pulled on Brees when he cried in front of the team and put the name of a rapist on his helmet

After last season, he had the chance to retire with dignity, grace and respect.

Drew Brees forfeited his chances to have that now.

I honestly don't give a shite about Brees anymore. He's been losing his touch for a few years now but I gave him the benefit of the doubt since he's Drew fricking Brees. His latest stunt with the rapist's name on his helmet was too far. I understand he felt he had to do it but come on man, hold your own balls. That was my final straw for him. Looking forward to having him sail off into the sunset and live the life with his family. Time to move on.

Ruined his legacy by returning. He had the chance to walk away.

They do need to use Taysom more, but it would be an overreaction to "pull the plug" on Brees right now. At some point Father Time will catch up with him but he is still our starting QB. If that has to change, you will see Winston.

Everyone in the organization knows this is his last year.

We can still win with Brees, it's all about managing his limitations like the Broncos did with Manning in his last season.

The rest of the roster is good enough to win with Brees - the season is not over.

Saints are 38-12 the last 3+ seasons, best in the league

I reckon Drew has been done bout damn near 12 times

Our pass rush isn’t what that Broncos one was though. They legit just took over big games.

Maybe not - and we don't have prime Talib and Chris Harris either at CB.

But a healthy Davenport (unicorn, I know) and Cam Jordan is about as good as for a DE tandem in the league.
