First off I think Payton is the best coach in the league, but he too can make mistakes.

2:19 left in the game against the Bucs last year on the opponents 9 yard line. Up 11 and they have no timeouts.

Kneel three times. Kick a field goal with 30 seconds left and go up 14.

But that was not enough. Payton wanted to win by more, and Thomas got his ankle destroyed. Cost the Saints a superbowl and more.

Thomas tried all season to play for Brees, but the injury was worse than we thought.

How so?

Did you watch the game?

Have you been a Saints fan for more than 12 months?

Why was the 2019 offensive player of the year in on routine run plays?

Send the backups in. Had a backup in Murray running the ball.

Yes. Everyone knows you pull your starters up 11 with 2:19 left against Tom Brady.

Has Brady, or any quarterback ever come back down 11 with no timeouts with 30 seconds from his own 10 yardline?

That would have been the scenario with three kneeldowns.

I'll wait while you look.

This is a silly exercise, regardless.

His ankle could get hurt in practice. Should he participate there?

Thomas tried all season to play for Brees how far from the truth can one be?

Thomas don’t care about anyone but himself.

It's a fact he got injured while Payton was trying to run up the score.

Everyone including ESPN and Fox are pointing this out.

Good point. He should only be on the field when the play is to him.

You must have watched Nick Wright this morning to form your opinion. I personally like to form my own opinions but if you like to agree with Nicky’s opinions then that’s on you

He shouldn't be on the field when the game is over.

Kneel down and get the win.

He was the 3rd person in the last two days that said it. I was listening to the NFL network and ESPN radio yesterday and they too brought it up.

So, should he practice? You can’t win or lose at practice and he could get hurt.

I do stand by the statement.

Run simple dive plays or kneeldown. Either way, after the Hill to Kamara pass the game was over. However the season wasn't, until Thomas was injured.

Saints won the Battle that day while the Bucs later won the war.

Well then it must be right. There is absolutely nothing wrong with have your starters in up 11 with 2:19 left in an NFL game. He is a very good blocking WR as well. The guy got hurt playing football, it's nobody's fault, that's just the game.

Injuries are part of football. If he gets hammered over the middle catching a pass, is that on CSP too? He could tear a ligament in warm ups like Charlie Clemmons did in the early 00's.

The reason MT isnt playing right now, is he didnt do the right things in the off season to get healthy. Period.
