Don’t know. Drew beat the Rams in the game of the year so far. As long as he keeps those numbers up, he will be right there.

Well we probably all thought so in 2009. Didn’t work out. So we’ll see.

Depends on whoever is trending more on Twitter with the 18-30 crowd. That's basically how the idiots who vote decide on awards these days.

Stats and facts are secondary. Trendiness is most important to them.

Has to be. He’s one a clip to break every major record, period. 40 tds/2 ints, 77%, potential #1 seed. Come on!

Brees traded it in for another Super Bowl win.

ETA. They would have left him on tv up north.

Finally announcers are starting to talk about it, which is a good sign that he's at least in the running

Mahomes is starting to have normal games...if Brees finishes 14-2, I don't see anyway they don't give it to him with all the records this year.

I will say this, if Drew Brees does win league mvp, super bowl mvp, and passes manning for alltime tds, than I think he has to pass Peyton up in those GOAT discussions vs Tom Brady. Jmo.

Nope. NFL giving it to the half white half black guy. Much like #44 in 2008.

I’d really like to see him get those records, win the MVP and beat Brady and the Pats for his second SB.

2-0 in the SB with wins vs Manning and Brady. Really put him the GOAT discussion.

Only thing that would make it better is if Green Bay were good enough and he could beat Rogers in the NFCCG

I think that it would be more entertaining if he never won one. Imagine a HoF, 2x SB winning QB that holds completion %, TD, and passing yard records never won an MVP. It would show how stupid the decision is. Stop making the decision before the SB is played. Brees and Manning were close in 2009, and Manning won it because he won 1 (2?) more regular season game(s). Brees won one more postseason game. Against Manning.
