The End, End of Story, If he's available with that pick, He will be Rob Ryan's Welcome to New Orleans gift. I don't see any other possible drop down guys that could be available that the Saints would put above Mingo.

Yes. The sunlight beamed through my office window on a cloudy day and struck me. Google research confirmed my thought processes.

Mingo is EXACTLY the type of player the Saints need on defense.

I will fap upon hearing the selection.

I still think a trade is possible bc they have there eyes set on Jamie Collins from USM.

I am not sure how he is going to improve on what we already have at OLBer. Like Mingo, both Tez and Junior are inexperienced at playing OLBer. I think he would be too much of a specialized player for us. I am not sure how well he will play against the run, so he would be pretty much a pass rusher only. I think he can be a great pass rusher. but how much better than Tez/Wilson?

Mingo is a 3 down OLB player in a 3-4 system, a bit more bulk would do him some good though. He's not a 3 down DE in a 4-3 though.

Mingo may not be an every down OLB at the start but he can tackle running backs I think.

They could still add both if they get JC in the mid round selection. I wouldn't think if they got Mingo, they would say they are done addressing pass rushers necessarily.

Mingo is way better at rushing the passer but Jamie is way better in coverage and against the run.

Yes he can, he's serviceable at stopping the outside rush

Mingo does have great tools and instincts in containment and stopping rush abilities. Sometimes he lacks the strength and bulk in traffic but he uses his hands very well.

With the read option take over, Mingo is definitely fit to be a 3 down OLB, ever heard of containment?
