I can’t believe all the comments I’m reading crucifying Brees and saying he’s been washed up for years or how we should clean house and trade big players like Kamara. Today was a perfect storm of bad play. We are still one of the best teams in the league and will be right back in the playoffs next year thanks to our hall of fame QB. You idiots wanting Brees gone should go be Cowboy fans because you know nothing about football.

I'm still shocked that he was happy and laughing just 10 seconds after the game ended. Makes everything seem pointless.

Why should we even care if Brees himself cares so little?

It reminds me a lot of what was going on at LSU under Les Miles. You appreciate how good these teams have been but at some point you realize they have limitations, ceilings. Mostly brought on by stubborn head coaches.

Sean Payton knows that he needs to do with an aging Drew Brees to win games but his eyes are bigger than his stomach. He called the games right last year and he called the games right this year when Teddy was in there. When Drew came back from injury this year he got greedy.

He thought he was Air Coryell again and it bit him in the arse.

He needs to run the ball and Trust his defense but as a former quarterback, he can't help himself. It's compounded by the fact that Drew can't throw the Deep ball anymore consistently or accurately. You really see the difference when Taysom steps in and rockets a rainbow across the field. Laughably and sadly, Drew comes in and tries to emulate him and throws a pic. Some guys just don't know when they don't have it anymore. Both him and Sean are trying to play outside of themselves.

I think those "idiots" are the actual ones who do watch football, and see the writing on the wall. Brees isnt getting younger, his arm isnt getting stronger... did you see brady this year? A shell of himself. When you try and hang onto something too long, it sours. Brees isnt going to be getting better. If now is the time to cut ties, or next year.. i dnt know. But hanging onto brees because of what he did in the past isnt going to help the team in the future. Father time is undefeated

I've been a fan longer than your millennial arse has been sucking down oxygen. Unlike you, however, I don't shut my eyes to the reality of today's game.

Makes you wonder where Drew's priorities are this late in his career, His business endeavors, or the Saints. He didn't look very prepared today.

Just because he’s trying to be a class act and congratulate the other players means he doesn’t care? That’s such bullshite. He cares I can promise you. Nobody puts more time into what they do than Brees. It’s why he is still so good at age 40. Would you feel better if he was rolling around on the ground crying and throwing a fit? Maybe he should have spit in the Vikings players faces? Come on.....

You are so right!! Who cares that we were 13-3 and lost a wild card game at home?? What does that matter!? At least drew broke some records and we get to choppa style in the dome next year! Just a few pieces away am I right!? Hopefully the nfl let’s us wear our color rush jerseys next year! Then we will be good to go!

Not bandwagon, just reality. Brees final shot was last year. Brady’s too. Brady took advantage of it.

I’m amazed at how you’re interpreting Brees’ actions after the game. I’m sure everyone on the team felt horrible. After a game, players usually loosen up and Have friendly conversations. It has nothing to do with not caring. Should Brees have been stomping his feet or tossing things onto the field???

Agree but Brady has always played in a much weaker division, the worst in football If we're honest, a weaker conference and always has a top 15 defense if not top 10. If Drew Brees had all that he'd have all those Super Bowls same as Brady.

Exactly. Everyone reacts differently to a big game loss. Some players will be pissed off and not one to talk to anyone until they cool off. Others will be able to move on from it quickly and even be able to have friendly chats with opposing players after a game.

I don't think Brees or anyone else is asking you to cry or pout

The second he lost, Brees moved on to 2020. Crying or getting upset solves nothing. He doesn't have to cry or get upset just to show you he cares.

He would tell you to move on from the 2019 season too if you asked him.

AFC playoff teams haven't been weaker than NFC playoff teams the past several years.

yeah and McCown cried after the Eagles lost.

I did see what you are talking about from Brees and thought WTF?

deep down I had my doubts how far we would make but surely thought we would at least win this one today.

that is now two in a row at the Dome a loser in the playoffs.

and I thought the crowd was on point too.

If San Francisco and Green Bay are the best the NFC can offer, I'm going with the AFC.
