Thaddeus Moss in this offense could be SICK
He could be a Jimmy Graham-style threat

Start a thread seeing if we could get burrow to throw to moss

I would not be comfortable giving up what would be necessary to get Burrow

Did you watch Jimmy?
Thadd is great, would love him in B&G, but their games aren't all that similar besides pass catching TE. Thadd had 4 TDs and I don't remember a jump ball threat (which might not be his fault).

ETA: I was being really nice, but since you keep replying to everyone's comments... Your title is agreeable, he could be "sick" in this offense. Everything else you have said is dead wrong when making direct comparisons.
Good hands, good blocking, quick for his size- these are all ok. But the rest is you trying to make an LSU player something he is not, as athletically freakish as Jimmy Graham.

Thad is a good TE but isn't as big or close to the athletic freak Jimmy was.

He has been a jump ball guy over the middle. He is really fast, athletic, and really does a fantastic job using his body to shield off defenders.

Likely not to have the vertical of Jimmy, but he is faster or at least as fast with a MUCH more massive frame. . .and he is light years better as a blocker than he was even last year. I would even say that Moss is a better blocker right now, than Graham has been at his best.

Moss is plug and play, wherever he ends up.

Moss and Graham or nothing alike. Just stop.

Moss has talent and can play in the NFL. But they are different types of TEs.

And at this moment, TE is down the list of positions we need in this draft.

Moss has great hands, but he's not in the same stratosphere athletically.

You are overrating Moss by a lot.

Graham is taller (by a lot), longer (by a lot), and faster (by a lot).

Moss has very good hands but so did Graham. I think Moss is the better blocker.

You are waaaaaay overrating Moss.

They are both fast, deep receiving threats out of the TE spot with soft hands that attack the ball in the air.

How they get the ball is different, but they have similar mentalities out of the position.

Except Moss is a good blocker, and Graham is taller.

Yes

No. Moss is really fast.

I just checked. Moss averages about 4.6. Graham 4.56.

I would wager Moss will break 4.6 at the combine, probably somewhere around 4.52-4.54.

I am not saying he will BE Graham for frick's sake.

Even as a die hard LSU fan I get really annoyed with all the threads about Saints drafting LSU players. With that said, this one intrigues me in many ways.

1) It's legitimately possible without giving up any draft picks.
2) Moss is a phenomenal blocking TE.
3) Moss is also solid as a receiver.

Moss is a downfield threat as a TE, too.

I mean, just about any TE in the NFL is a better blocker than Graham.

I love the idea of drafting Moss but would only select him if he's still available at 88 in the 3rd round. Seems possible but probably unlikely.

That was what got me thinking about it. We have no shot at Delpit, Burrow, or Jefferson.

I was wondering which Tigers we have a shot at getting, realistically.

I figure Moss, Fulton, and Chiasson as guys they could grab in the 2nd or 3rd

Why can't moss be Jeremy shockey? Very Good but not elite?

Sometimes that's all you need.
