Khai is the VP of football admin and has been key in helping Loomis make the numbers work on contracts.

I've heard new Falcons GM Terry Fontenot would like to bring Saints VP of Football Administration Khai Harley w/him to Atlanta in some capacity, but the Saints are working to keep him. Harley has played a key role in helping to negotiate contracts & manage the Saints' salary cap.

One reason why the Falcs hired TF is because TF, IMHO, promised to try to raid the Saints FO for additional personnel.

The Falcs decision on TF is as much of a decision to hurt the Saints as it was to improve the Falcs. But, IMHO, the Falcs are raiding the wrong FO - they should be raiding the Bucs FO. The Bucs are the ones headed to the Superbowl, not the Saints.

So, the Saints should be fighting hard to "repel" this Falcs Raid, but, because NOLA is just not as good a place to live as the ATL, it will be a tough fight. Atlanta is just a better place to live large than NOLA and I don't think there's much grounds to debate that.

Latest intel: Khai Harley is not a target to go to ATL with new Falcons GM Terry Fontenot. For now at least, Harley is staying with the Saints.

Loomis
Ireland
Fontenot
Harley

Would have been damn near impossible to keep all four long term. Honestly, all four have been, or could be, GMs one day.

We lost Fontenot, and Harley could leave at some point for a promotion as well. Eventually, someone is going to give Ireland another shot as well. I think the only reason Ireland is still here, is he has been told eventually Loomis will move out of football ops and Ireland will get the gig here.

I have lived for years in both places, so, I have some basis for my opinion.

Hartley has been the biggest well known "secret" for years. If he wanted to move on he probably would have a while ago. Maybe he likes getting paid a lot to sit in the back and play with numbers.

Side note he was a speaker in a class I took a very nice guy, very smart, and took time to answer all kinds of questions.
