Teddy Bridgewater expected to re-sign with the New Orleans Saints despite a bigger deal on the table from Miami. I’m told Bridgewater values the locker room culture and prospect of one day becoming the Saints starting QB per source informed. #Saints

would be awesome if its a 2-3 year deal that gives us flexibility of him having a chance to prove his starting capability for us without us having to pay starter money immediately.

Have their been any "insider" reports on whether or not they see him as a future starter? They had a year to see him and didn't seem to rush to get him locked up.

This is definitely best case scenario from what it sounds like. I'm really glad we've built such a good team with an even better locker room. Hopefully Dez will be able to come back and be serviceable because we can't afford another top WR.

Welcome back, Teddy! Be the heir to Brees!

I'm pumped, but I hope this doesn't eat up a ton of space.

I asked Saints Head Coach Sean Payton at combine who he was going after at quarterback knowing Drew Brees could be done soon...he said I have my guy. His name is Teddy Bridgewater. #saints

This from Russini was very telling

You have got to have a capable backup QB in this league.

I think as much as it says about Teddy, it says just as much about Brees. To me this is sounding more and more like the last ride

I like this for our long term but not for next year.

Don’t expect any big moves now besides signing a guy like Cole Beasley. Who are we kidding? Our FO knows we aren’t going to be able to move the needle that much. We blew our wad and got fricked and now we have no cap, no picks and no Lombardi. The last ride was last year. Teams will be better, we won’t be as lucky with health this year and Brees is basically done. It’s been fun boys but bringing back Bridgewater tells me this team is no longer all in on Brees and this last year.

It tells me they’re ready to move on and start paying guys like MT13, Kamara, Lattimore with Teddy B at the helm.

And we aren't losing any key pieces from a team that dominated

quote:

we won’t be as lucky with health this year

I mean we lost Ginn for the majority of the year, Armstead for a nice chunk, Rankins at the end. You never know how it's going to go

quote:

Brees is basically done

Brees was playing insane until the Atlanta game where its assumed that there was an injury

quote:

we have no cap

fake news

quote:

no longer all in on Brees and this last year.

because we signed a legit backup in case Drew gets hurt?

Come on baw, this team has the potential to compete just as well as last year
