Teddy Bridgewater

Misses some easy arse throws
Holds onto the ball too long at times
May not beat the other team
But going 5-0 with him as a starter has been outright miraculous.
5-0
115/165 (69.7%)
1205 yards
7.3 YPA
9 TDs
2 INTs
103.72 Rating
Over a full season?
3856 yards
29 TDs
6 INTs
103.72 Rating
Compared to guys last year over a full season:
16th in yards
T-10th in TDs
T-4th best in INTs for QBs >10 games
6th in Rating
He isn't elite, but he's a viable starter in this league and we have him as a backup. Glad we got him

People don’t like it. But he is legitimately in the argument for being in the top half of all starting NFL QBs
AND
He has done it all without Smith, having only Ginn and Thomas for most of it.

2 INTs
This is it right here.
Both of these throws hit their receivers in their hands. Might not have been the best throws, but both should have been caught.

He also had some dropped INTs though

Exactly. We're just spoiled with first ballot HoF QB for the last 13 years. Those don't just grow on trees.

I'll just continue beating the same drum like a broken record, too many of those posters are just clueless about football. We have the same thing going on with LSU on the Rant. In the 1st half of almost every game, you'd think we're a 2-5 team with the way posters whine and bitch.

So this list is a bit tricky I'll make. No particular order. May be a tad contradictory as I will list injured guys who I think are better, but for guys actually playing, the ranking is based on how they're playing this season. So for example, I'll put Brees/Big Ben on the list as better, but didn't put Goff, as he is certainly not unquestionably outperforming Teddy THIS season.
Wilson
Big Ben
Rodgers
Wentz
Ryan
Cousins
Stafford
Brees
Brady
Rivers
Brissett
Mahomes
Watson
Lamar Jackson
Dak - Added after edit
Did I miss any obvious ones? And if we want to add Jimmy G and Goff, that's fair, but that puts the cut off line right at 17, correct?

i missed Dak, he's the only one from that list that I missed that you can say is unquestionably a better QB than Bridgewater right now IMO.
Not sure what we're doing with Cam, he's been objectively a below avg NFL QB for 3 seasons now. This is the 4th, and he's injured and we have no idea what he'll look like upon return.
You're also using projections to say Kyler is better, but he's not right now. You can't say Kyler Murray right now is unquestionably better than Bridgewater, no chance. None.
Darnold has played 2 games this year, again, I don't see how there's any way you can say he's unquestionably better right now.
Foles probably lost his job to Minshew and is injured and hasn't really played much for 3 seasons now. There's a reason for that. He's firmly in that average camp like Bridgewater.
In his 5 starts, Bridgewater's QB rating is 103.7. What about that is bottom tier?
He's currently 11th in the league in QB rating overall, 21st in QBR. Looking at the 2, placing him right in the middle at 16 sounds about right.

I would trade all those guys right now to replace teddy as I think most non saint’s homer would
Put them behind a top 3 OL with a top 2 nfl play caller and you’d be a happy fan.
Teddy is asked to do next to nothing other than manage the game. He’s done that well, I am not taking that away from him. But there are QBs that can go out and win you games, then there is teddy.
Even then he is missing passes that most QBs make. Pocket presence is bad and is only saved by the Saints great OL. Teddy on say, the Jets , would be a disaster.

I just don't think there is anything out there that objectively puts 21 QBs being unquestionably, a keyword I honestly think you're overlooking, better than Bridgewater right now.

shel, there’s a 1 year player draft tomorrow. You really think Teddy is going before any of those guys?
I unquestionably do. And I think that is pretty damn objective outside of a few teddy homers

The question is do I think all of those guys will unquestionably play better than Teddy. And the answer is unquestionably no.
You think Cam Newton will undoubtedly be better than Bridgewater? He hasn't the past 3 seasons AND he's hurt now.
Goff and Jimmy G are not actually playing unquestionably better than Bridgewater. You can say they're better but that's just words, objectively based on production, they're not showing it.
