we had the best regular season record, we Beat the Rams in the regular season and would have in the conference championship had the blatant PI/HH penalties been called.

2. Saints players get money they should have gotten for championship game win. Rams get loser money.

3. Rams go to Super bowl that can't be changed, if they win they get an asterisk, if they lose they are forgotten.

3. Saints get back draft choices lost on bounty gate.

4. Refs responsible for error are terminated and no longer can work for NFL.

5. Ram that hit Lewis gets max fine for helmet to helmet hit.

This will never happen. I heard on the radio that they were the best of the best....which is hard to believe... and the NFL would be stupid to get rid of their best officials

im gonna get downvoted, but unless any conspiracy about them is true, I wouldnt want their careers ruined over this. frick them for fricking it up, but if they really just missed the call, (I’ll probably never know, but IF), I just want an apology and I can personally move on. I would like an explanation or an apology and I’ll let them live their lives in peace.

Edit: I still wont like them, but I dont wish any harm on their lives like some of you do. And im a diehard fan. My heart got ripped out, but I dont wish evil upon them.

The refs may be suspended for a few games, but it's Al Riveron who's head is on the chopping block

They can't fire refs every time they make a mistake

Except it wasn't a mistake. It was a deliberate act.

'Best of the best!' This makes the no call even more egregious!

The NFL is stuck. They cannot fire the refs involved on the field. If they did, then those refs would be free to reveal the truth that they were “just following orders”. It would blow up the NFL.

Most of that is fine and dandy, except declaring themselves NFC Champions. That's infantile.

They were the best of the best in corruption. These officials were assigned by the league to carry out their assignments "ram vs Pat"

If they can get away with this with part time refs, imagine what they can do with full time crews. We'd never even realize it.

See federal government for example.

The NFL does this to right the wrong. I never suggested the Saints do this anymore than I suggested the Saints pay their players for winning the championship game or fine a player on the opposing team.

While I do agree with you this statement, this "no-call" would be the equivalent of a Fortune 500 Accountant missing a big obvious/item on an accounting book, therefore causing an IRS Audit and the stock to crash 10%.

The Accountant would have his box of personal items and security escort out of the building before lunch.

they can and will do nothing or it further admits guilt

get used to it, the only thing we get is the embarrassment to the NFL that is going on right now.

and be prepared for the NFL to try and royally frick us as hard as possible next year through the schedule and even more rigged games because while this is all due to their own actions and game rigging, they will see us as the reason for it, not themselves.

we are going to be screwed many times over next year too just like they did to oakland when they embarrassed the league after the tuck rule invention on the spot to rig that game

Even if they retroactively called the PI and reset the game to 1:48, you can’t just assume the Saints would win. It’s extremely likely, but anything could happen...blocked kick returned for a TD, etc. That’s why it’s played on the field.

Are you kidding me??? Hell yeah they should be fired and never work an NFL game again. How did their blatant choice not to make the call (the did NOT miss the call, the CHOSE not to make it) affect all the Saints players, fans, vendors, etc??

These guys have other careers outside of the NFL. Even if they didn't, who cares?? If you are incompetent or just dirty you don't deserve to be there. I can't believe any rational person would think these guys should still be able to call NFL games. Wow.

My own solution is to:

1) pay less attention to the NFL and CFL in the future, and to regard all of it as simple entertainment that is now less entertaining as other great hobbies that a person can pursue.

2) Realize that the game is not officiated consistently on a game-to-game or even play-to-play basis, so, the outcome of the games is often wrong and due to an officiating mistake. That kind of game has limited appeal to me, because it becomes more of a game of pure chance.

3) Discontinue being a "Fan" of the game and become more of a casual observer of this entertainment production that the NFL would have us believe is a pure sport competition, which it is not -- it is entertainment for us and a profit making venture for the stakeholders. Fans spend money on the game. The stakeholders get rich from the game.

First, it is not the ref's careers. Officiating is their avocation and is part time.

If they blatantly miss that bad they should be romoved from the official's roster and not work in the league again

The supervisor who assigned them to the game should be fired for placing them into that particular game because the optics are so bad with 4 of them living in L.A.

Goodell should be fired because is is basically a gelding and an invertabrate who collects too much money for doing nothing but be a mouthpiece for management, and he is ultimately responsible for the product on the field which is now tainted
