Short and sweet. Cut or trade? Hopefully Saints can get a late pick from a team based on Anthony's pedigree.

Pretty disappointing if he's just a complete bust. Would also trade #32 for Butler in a heart beat.

I also don't see the point of cutting him at this point. He's a first round draft that has greatly dissapointed up to this point. He's on a 7-9 team though, it's not like we have to make room for an overflow of defensive talent or anything.

2015 draft class shaping up to be slightly less shitty than 2014.

Improve the LB'er group as much as possible through FA's and the draft. If he don't make the team in camp fire him and the person(may have already) who scouted him.

2015 draft derailed two players who actually produced when they were on the field.

2014 draft could never get on the field.

At least we got 2 contributors from 2015

We'll probably trade him to move up in a round a few slots or for like a 7th.

What exactly do you think he could fetch?

Whats the going rate on physical LBer that can not process the plays fast enough to keep from being a step behind the play on every down?

Sounds like a 7th rounder to me. Barkevious Mingo was traded for a 6th.

Some team with a history of good D may take a chance and move down a few spots in the draft. Again, I'm talking like moving up 10 spots in the 5th round or something. We're not going to get much.

Cap hit to cut him more than if we keep him. His salary this year is fully guaranteed. Would make no sense to cut him. Could he be a throw in in the Butler trade?

You cut him if you don't think he's worthy of a roster space.

I'm still holding out hope he can be salvaged

Would hope they let Nolan work with him in OTAs/camp before making that decision. Would be dumb to cut him this early given the guaranteed contract.

No doubt. He'd be one of the last ones let go

Agreed. Every draft pick except for a few is a "risk." With Butler you know you're getting a talented, young, defensive starter. Take that 32nd back. I'm fine with that.

Year 1, despite his inconsistency, there was plenty of reason to be optimistic, IMO.

Then something happened.
