You only tank for a QB.

All others are important, but not tank worthy

If we tank. It will be for Rodgers, Wilson, or Watson.

Nah. Probably will draft a top 3 QB if we are going to be as bad as I think. We will have a lot of holes to fill and you can't do that plus pay a top level QB salary.

Reggie Bush and Jadaveon Clowney would like a word.

Are you saying that NFL teams would, or should, perform poorly in order to draft a scat back or physically gifted D-end who lacks production?

Typically I’m anti all LSU talk despite being a fan, but this kid is too damn good, I wonder if he would make it to the 7 - 10 range where I expect to be picking.

There isn't a QB in this draft worth tanking for IMHO.

You think we pick higher? Or lower?

This team is straight decimated. I wouldn’t be surprised if we start 0-5 (and then win a decent bit down the stretch once everyone is back).

We won’t need to tank. It’ll happen naturally

There's always one or two that seperate themselves throughout a college football year even if you don't recognize the name at this point.

Ehh, not so sure that is true and definitely not true in hindsight several times.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2018/04/24/worst-nfl-draft-quarterback-classes-jamarcus-russell/544843002/

96 & 97 was a dreadful back to back QB draft.

96 - Tony Banks (Round 2, Rams), Bobby Hoying (Round 3, Eagles), Jeff Lewis (Round 4, Broncos), Danny Kanell (Round 4, Giants), Damon Huard (undrafted, Bengals), Ray Lucas (undrafted, Patriots)

97 - Jim Druckenmiller (Round 1, 49ers), Jake Plummer (Round 2, Cardinals), Danny Wuerffel (Round 4, Saints), Koy Detmer (Round 7, Eagles), Jon Kitna (undrafted, Seahawks)

Here is the 2013 class, Not exactly great. A couple of those guys did generate interest but only 1 first Round pick.
2013 - EJ Manuel (Round 1, Bills), Geno Smith (Round 2, Jets), Mike Glennon (Round 3, Buccaneers), Matt Barkley (Round 4, Eagles), Ryan Nassib (Round 4, Giants), Landry Jones (Round 4, Steelers)

We shall see but early projections seem to be that Spencer Rattler of OU is the likely first QB picked.

Here is one projection of the QB's available with the projected drat round.

quote:

1 Spencer Rattler, Oklahoma, SO-r 1
2 Sam Howell, North Carolina, JR 1
3 Kedon Slovis, USC, JR 1
4 Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati, SR-r 1-2
5 Malik Willis, Liberty, SR-r 1-2
6 J.T. Daniels, Georgia, JR-r 1-2
7 Tyler Shough, Texas Tech, JR-r 2-3
8 Carson Strong, Nevada, JR-r 2-3
9 Phil Jurkovec, Boston College, JR-r 3-4
10 Matt Corral, Mississippi, JR-r 3-4
11 D’Eriq King, Miami (FL), SR-rr 4-5
12 Brock Purdy, Iowa State, SR 4-5
13 Dillon Gabriel, UCF, JR 5-7
14 Tanner Morgan, Minnesota, SR-r 5-7
15 Sean Clifford, Penn State, SR-r UDFA
16 Michael Penix Jr., Indiana, JR-r UDFA
17 Emory Jones, Florida, JR-r UDFA
18 Grayson McCall, Coastal Carolina, SO-r UDFA
19 Myles Brennan, LSU, SR-r UDFA
20 Jayden Daniels, Arizona State, JR UDFA

Eek...this is why we should have tried to give the farm last year for a qb. We won't be drafting a QB it will be Rodgers or Wilson

Yeah, when I looked at that list I thought I must have misread but it's pretty much the same everywhere. Trying really hard to talk up Rattler.
