The same Dolphins that had an identical record as the Saints with a rookie quarterback and the most pedestrian group of receivers in the entire league in 2012, but were also two Dan Carpenter 40-something yard missed field goals away from going 9-7? Those Dolphins? The ones who massively upgraded glaring holes this offseason? While agreeing that 19 is entirely too low for an elite offense and head coach, both of which the Saints have, I fail to see why 14 is such an absurd spot for Miami.

they had a good season because they went 7-9 and only wins outside of seattle were against bs teams.?

i give them 8-8 this year. but like I said.. somehow it's a success for them to be mediocre. maybe ranked around 15 is about right for 8-8. middle of the pack.. but the Saints are absolute more around the 12-10 range.. they got dicked over numerous times last season with officiating such as the redskins game out the game with BS PI that set up an easy TD when it would have been punt.. but it's all moot now. time to move forward.

a lot of that is basically going off of what happened last year. You really aren't going to find very many previews that don't do that.

it is getting harder and harder to really project what will happen in the NFL. I mean I guess most of the better teams still do what is expected of them but just look at the last 3 Super Bowl winners...

where some random blogger has us rated right now doesn't bother me. But that lazy arse comment he made about our defense does. No mention of the new players that will be starting this year and no mention of the fact that the Saints finished #12 in takeaways last year. I mean I know that the defense really struggled in pretty much every other facet but damn, if they were able to match that effort this year( with the takeaways), LOOK OUT!!!!!!

Meh I never pay attention to these offseason ranking, I guarantee that most of the major NFL writers will have the saints in or near the playoffs in their season prediction stuff

I love researching the authors of articles like these to see where they're from... This guy lives in L.A. and was born and raised in Washington; Seattle #1? Coincidence?

Yes. Seattle is, at best, the third best team in the NFC. That defense is tough and will shine this year, but Wilson will be figured out. I love the guy, but running around in the pocket for 14 seconds won't work every week. Especially in the playoffs.

I've said on here multiple times that I think SF and SEA will not be these gods that people are saying. That division will be tough, the Rams are no joke. I definitely do not see SF reaching the NFC title for 3 straight seasons, that just does not happen. I see both teams underperforming.

Their defenses (SF and SEA) are definitely good enough to get them there, but ultimately, I agree with you.

Behind who? Just curious. Seattle is pretty scary, but I would agree that Wilson may be a little over hyped. This is going to be a very interesting year in the NFC.

This year Seattle has five 10:00 am PST games vs. SF having only one.

The last few years the 49ers have been royally screwed with these games.
