And announce next year is Brees final season?

New stadium + Brees retiring + the no call should just about wrap up next year’s Super Bowl.

Cancel the stadium plans after next season obviously.

I was just telling people that we won't win anything until we get 1) another national tragedy in New Orleans 2) new stadium built

That's disgusting, but it's also true.

Yeah, notice in douche bags press conference that he reiterated about the cities with new stadiums and rewarding them with super bowls.

Tell me again this shite isn't about money... frick the NFL...

I don't see those assholes telling Chicago and Green Bay to build new stadiums...

it's -2000 degrees in those cities right now. there will never be a Super Bowl there so the NFL doesn't care what they play in.

Lol you realize rewarding them with suerbowls he means hosting Super Bowls... which makes sense for a brand new stadium.

New Orleans will win next year to make up for the arse raping the NFL gave the Saints paired with Drew Brees' career coming to an end. I believe the Super Dome is up for another major renovation, personally I wouldn't want a new stadium.

In the early 2000s, Chicago essentially got a new stadium, while Lambeau Field, like the Superdome, has had MAJOR renovations:

Chicago: The stadium's interior was completely demolished and rebuilt as part of a major renovation project in 2002, which modernized the facility (but lowered seating capacity).

Green Bay:: Spent $295 million before the 2003 season to renovate Lambeau Field: updating the facilities, adding more premium and suite seating, yet preserving the seating bowl. In 2012-13, the Packers installed new high definition scoreboards a new sound system and a new 7,500 upper deck seat section in the south end zone. And in 2015, a major atrium renovation was completed.

I remember this 1 b/c I'm pretty certain the Saints played the Bears while that construction was going on... and the Bears were playing their home games at the University of Illinois during that time

here's a pic... you can see the orange end zone behind Lewis... that's from Memorial Stadium in Champaign

We would have to fire Payton and hire someone else in addition to lock in a super bowl.

I've been to every stadium in the NFL and I use to feel the exact same way. Dallas, Minnesota and Atlanta(sort of) have change my opinion.

The only way I would be for a new stadium is if we built something similar to those stadiums and located downtown.

I always thought the old Soldier Field was such a crazy assed stadium, the way they had the old grandstands that looked like they extended another 100 yards in its original configuration beyond the later enclosed endzone portion.

Always wondered, what the frick was that place originally built for, to have about 200 yards of contiguous grandstand on each side of the field. Chariot races?
