Should Dak get paid?

Everyone in the media is so high on Dak. I keep hearing how Dak needs to get paid 35+ mil a year. I don't understand how people can forget how awful he was whenever he didn't have a top 3 running game. I hope Dallas pays him 40M a year so they can stay bad forever.

He's earned the right to get paid, not sure how much, but he deserves a big pay hike.

Definitely should get paid 2 division championships in 4 years. 40 million is a little extreme though

IMO, Dak is a poor man's Cam Newton. When he is on, he can be a world beater. But when he is not, he is just a guy.

The problem with this is it jacks up the pay for much more deserving QBs. Say we get another Brees..if Dak is getting 50 imagine what we would have to pay him

He will. The alternative is to get another QB. Dallas isn't doing that.

This is my only hesitation in hoping Dallas gives him everything he wants. You already know Mahomes & Watson are about to reset the bar next season. SO, if the Saints do find their next guy, no telling where the new bar will be in 5-7 years if Dak is getting $40+ now.
Obligatory, if Dak gets $50M, Burrow will be at $75M in 5 years.

He absolutely should get paid. I would only pay him an amount that lets me place above avg weapons around him though.

Daks stats from last year were 4900 passing yards, 30tds/11pics, and 3 rushing td’s and about 300 yards rushing. Also a 99 passer rating.
Without Dak working the read option, then they only have the zone stretch for Zeke. He greatly contributes to their run game.
