He doesn’t want to draw attention to himself. He is a liability to the team because of his pill popping and referee tripping. He can’t be in the spotlight throwing a challenge flag.

It would have been a wasted TO. No way Payton gets that call. The refs and league office hate him. Any other coach and I agree, but I think Payton was right in not challenging.

Yeah, he stayed inbounds, but it’s one of those plays wher I think Payton had his reasons for not challenging. I’m not sure what they are, but the guy is a successful NFL coach.

You absolutely have to challenge that. You’re not guaranteed to score 1st and goal from the 1 inch line, much less the 10. The chances of it coming back to hurt today aren’t good—we’re about to run the Jets out the Dome—but still. shite. Hate it for Ingram.
