Clearly, the Saints are inefficient with $ historically.. As a fan wouldn't you want them to do/be better?

Some type of responsibility would be great.

When it's time.to sign free agents and rookies, the Saints will be under the cap. They will fill any holes they have and enter the season below the cap value. They get no points for being under the cap until they need to be under the cap.

My question is why do you care so much when it clearly doesn't prevent the Saints from filling their needs?

IMO I don't think we do fill our needs well.

we need to improve and get playmakers to be on our team. How do you expect to sign playmakers? High draft picks? I'm no expert but things can be better.
we’ve won more games than anyone the past four years

This implies that they have been restricted getting players they want due to cap issues. That has not been the case at all

Just because they have not gotten the results you want doesnt mean they have been bad at their jobs. They have been competing on a routine basis and only a few teams can claim that.

Loomis has to love shite like this

"Oh noooo the cap went DOWN!"

There's only 147 different loopholes for him to create cap space out of thin air and allow us to sign our own guys + a couple of free agents

every 10 mill it goes down is probably just 10 more mill we're kicking down the road. not ideal.

Essentially we're just borrowing future money at this point

it's what we always do. there is no real reason for a regime not to do this, either. the full costs will be borne by the next regime

that's why we always trade future picks as well

He's been doing this since Brees has been here...

I'm not saying you're wrong, but every year we go into the offseason with a huge cap problem, and we emerge with largely the same team
