Just saw a video of Brees' passes in the Sunday game. His arm is fine. Anyone complaining about Brees' arm if he has a bad half of football should be temporarily banned.

2nd best passing offense, 3rd best rushing offense.

All of Brees' passes from Sunday. Lots of zip on those 4th quarter passes:

Team is rolling.

Defense just needs to get healthy and find ways to get pressure on the QB again. If that happens, we'll be back to a top 10 defense.

If defense can stay in top 15 then we will make a very deep run

That's a fair assessment. But, it seems a notch below last year. But, it's nothing like Peyton Manning at the end. Brees has plenty enough to get it done.

What were you watching last year? His arm was obviously tired at the end of the season after having to throw as much as he did. Once he gets rolling this year he looks like classic Brees.

The run game has helped tremendously with keeping his arm fresh this year and has looked good overall.

If you watch the passes he made in the 4th quarter of the 10th game on those last two drives (see the video above), he has as much zip on those passes as he had in the Super Bowl season in 2009. I'm not saying he has that all the time or that he always looks crisp. I get that age is having its affect. But, it was encouraging to me to see him play the way he did in the 4th quarter and lead the team back. The more we run down the stretch, the better off the team will be - and the better that Drew's arm will be as the season goes on.

We need to keep him from getting hit like he did though.

Not saying anything but I wish he would skip the longer passes in the 1st quarter. Just sayin.

I thought this stat was incredible as well. Both Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara are top 20 in the league in rushing and both Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas are top 20 in the league in receiving. Saints also have 2 of the top 3 players in the NFL for ypc metric. That speaks volumes about the O-Line run block. Then throw in there that Brees doesn't take sacks and all that equates to #1 offense in the league. Something the Saints have been very used to over the past decade. All we said we ever needed was a defense in the top half of the league and look where that's gotten us so far this season. Team is gelling too. Love this team!

Exactly. He doesn't have to throw it 45-50 times a game. Going back and looking at yesterday he had some nice zip on his throws I haven't seen in a while.

Yep. Compare the passes on those last two drives with how he was throwing in 2009 and you can't see any discernible difference. Some days or halves he might have it and some he won't. That interception early in the game was under thrown and awful. It made me cringe. But, Brees has the ability to bounce back from that and put together a masterpiece.

Anyone criticizing him at this point should have their fan card revoked. It's ridiculous.

No, I don't agree with that.

Absolutely. He's got plenty enough in the tank to take us all of the way.

But, the ball is hanging in the air a little longer. I was concerned when he showed up with the arm sleeve. It made me worry about that elbow. Maybe it's an injury (tendonitis) rather than age. And, maybe the arm bounces back moving forward.

But, as it stands now, I can't say his arm strength is "normal". It's not.

10 games in and Brees still looks fresh. Gotta love it.

The 1st quarter interception was awful. I see the ball float at times. I don't disagree.

Then, the 4th quarter, he was fire.

He might have to focus more. It might be harder and not as effortless as it was. But, he can dig deep and still get it. Those last two drives were the old Brees. I see it come and go now. But, he can do it for a playoff run I believe.

It's fine. But he's playing banged up. Look at his throws in week 1, and compare them to now. Significant difference. Not worried at all though.

The inability for Brees to make the tough intermediate throws will cost this team a super bowl. He's going to kill Kamara for a one yard pass.

Talking about Cousins:

You truly believe brees is in cousins class at this pt of his career? Are you watching this game?

Would trade brees for him straight up at this point ...

I disagree. He's looked off and some throws this year have seeemed slower and have hung in the air more but most of his passes against the Skins looked really good.

Brees was outplayed by Cousins in that game....I don't see how you can't understand that? Cousins was flawless. The NFL apologized for the incorrect call on IG, and he can't make Vernon Davis catch that ball put on his face in OT. Did you look at his stat line with mediocre at best weapons in an incredibly difficult place to play? I don't understand the Cousins hate in here. The Saints beat an elite QB sunday.
