This. We also need new teachers & motivators on the defensive side of the ball. I don't have any faith in the current defensive coaches at the moment.
I know it's become the in thing to bash Payton & his play calling but his game plan last Sunday was superb. I still believe in him as a talent evaluator for offensive skill position players & he will be essential to the development of Garrett Grayson. Ireland needs to be responsible for the O-Line & all defensive player evaluations of current & future players.

Yeah I'm not sold on us being done.
But even if we are done cap space can be carried forward. Still makes the Brees move curious if we stand pat but this trade saves money either way.

He'll be playing 3-4 DE in New England I believe. May fit his style of play more

We weren't gonna give him a new contract.
We're letting him go a bit earlier than expected, basically.
If the Pats wanted him, they would have got him anyway in the next offseason.
