I love this dude. Someone has a quote of his after getting his first check in the NFL as their signature. Something about putting that shite in the bank and getting some MF wings

Kamara has spent every Tuesday of the NFL season working a blue-collar job.

Was this public news before? It's new news to me. Pretty awesome.

Very cool. Reminds me of the old school players having to work a real job because pro football was nothing more than a hobby and supplemental income.

Must be how he stays grounded when surrounded by millionaires and insane athletes. I love Kamara.

Its really cool and makes him super likeable but it's an incredibly stupid business decision on his part.

I worked in the industrial staffing industry for a while and that’s an industry we would never even think about placing people because the workers comp is so high due to
it’s statistically one of the most dangerous jobs you can do on land at least. I am sort of surprised they let Kamara do that the week of such a big game—of course I guess it’s not like they could do much to stop him if they wanted ha.

Not everything is about business. Let the guy live his life. Everytime you step out of your house it could be a “bad business decision” if a freak accident happens. I like his style, live life to the fullest, let the chips fall where they may.

Not all you read is real

quote:

Yes, star Saints running back Alvin Kamara apparently loves the idea of working a few shifts as a garbage man. But no, he’s not doing it because he wants to star in a series about working blue-collar jobs. The photo you’re seeing of Kamara beginning to light up social media Thursday (Jan. 17) was shot during two commercials filmed recently for garbage mogul and real estate developer Sidney Torres IV, who socializes with Kamara regularly, Torres said in an interview. The whole thing came about when Kamara was scrolling through one of Torres' Instagram stories where Kamara spotted a post about new uniforms Torres ordered for workers on the IV Waste trash trucks that cruise the French Quarter, among other places. “He sent me an (Instagram) message saying, ‘I like that jacket, I want one,’” Torres said. “When he came to pick it up, he said, ‘I want to ride on the back of the truck.’” Kamara can be seen wearing the jacket as he hangs from the side of one of Torres' gleaming black trucks, its “IV” logo and phone number painted along the side. Kamara smiles as the truck cruises past a row of black garbage bags in Mid-City.

Yup it's insane that my post is being downvoted. Every time Kamara does that hes putting about $80 million in future career earnings at risk. He's not even banked 2% of his likely career earnings yet on this rookie deal

The same thing could happen if he stubs his toe getting out of bed tomorrow.

Bad business decision? These will probably be the best years of his life. He should live them as he sees fit.
