The Saints do not plan to tender RFA Delvin Breaux, per source. The cornerback is likely to hit the free-agent market tomorrow.

The dude basically broke his neck and came back. Then the quacks at Oschner just about amputated both of his legs. Can anyone blame him for being a little cranky?

He was very promising and talented, but injuries have derailed his career. It's a shame.

I hope he kills it wherever he goes. It's not his fault our doctors are terrible.

I think this is seriously idiotic

We could tender him for a really cheap deal and probably not have to worry about him being poached. Instead we’re going to pay an old bum like DRC like 8-10 million to suck

Some of the idiots on this board seem to forget how good he was when healthy. I’ll still never forget him locking Julio down for one catch back in 2016.

Least shocking news ever. I mean I don't know why you guys can't see that when the relationship is damaged, the Saints don't care about keeping the player around anymore.

Vaccaro - check
Fairley - check
Breaux - check
Snead - on the thinnest of ice

They care more about the lockerroom that one player's talent. Doesn't mean those guys suck, but it means that for whatever reason, there's a divide. As Payton would say, maybe the team's vision and the player's are not aligned.

What in the world gave you the idea that Breaux was a problem in the locker room? Dude has been nothing but supportive for Saints players on twitter for the last 6 months.

Same with Nick Fairley for that matter. Fairley is gone because of his condition, that's it. The Saints wanted him. They extended him.

He is legit. He made a mistake, but that doesn’t take away from him knowing stuff.

Never once did I say that they were a problem in the locker room.

But they ALL have obviously had issues with the staff/administration.

Vaccaro - questioned coaching decisions. Benched.
Fairley - do you really think there is no ill will and animosity over the status of his bonus? Maybe not on the Saints end, but Fairley I'm sure is salty
Breaux - Payton called the dude out for injuries and the doctor fiasco. I'm sure he's a great guy but sometimes things happen and a fresh start is needed.
Snead - The DWI and then whatever the frick is wrong with him last year.

None of those guys are cancers but they all had disagreements with management.

Yeah, fair enough. I shouldn't have said lockerroom in the original post. I don't think they're a problem there, I should have said they don't want guys who they have issues with. Basically, I don't think they have issues with other players, just issues with the FO.

The fact that he even made it to the NFL is actually quite remarkable.
