Considering Thomas is the only legit receiver, teams clamped down in the postseason, and the FA signings focusing on defense, the Saints are going offense in the draft. The first two picks will be a combination of TE and WR.

Makes sense because Brees and the offense need more weapons.

Sign Jordan Matthews then draft a tight end and we will be fine

Thomas Playoff Stats

Not saying we don't need another weapon or two because we clearly do, but Thomas was far from clamped down in the playoffs.

Makes more sense that they're trading up to 10 to select Baker Mayfield.

I'm still hoping they go edge or linebacker in first round (Hubbard, Landry, Evans, Vander esch) and take Anthony Miller in the 3rd. Maybe Fumagalli falls to the 4th and you can get him there.

Clamped down? You dumb. IF anything, it was that the defense in the last game we played was better than the rest of the defenses we played all year.

Unless Ireland sees another Gronk in the first round, we are not going TE at 27. I think we'll trade up and go for Dline or QB.

Gisekis SPARQ score rivals Ultra Instinct Goku

Would not be upset at all if he's our first rounder.

Sign Jordan Matthews and watch what Drew can do with him.

That being said, nobody clamped down on Mike Thomas in the playoffs. The guy was an absolute animal, and he absolutely gave Xavier Rhodes the work in the Divisional Round. He was whipping him like the son of Adrian Peterson.

Is he saying that Thomas was clamped down or the offense as a whole due to the other WRs getting shut down?

Just saw Eric Ebron got 2 yrs 15 mill from the Colts.

I definitely think we go TE at some point in the draft. Just no guys really worth pursuing right now.

I am not saying Michael Thomas was clamped down, but the running game was. Defenses were stacking the box and forcing the Saints to pass. Thomas is an animal, no doubt. But it is foolish to think the Saints can stand pat with the receivers and TE's currently on the roster and improve offensively. Brees will be another year older and he needs all the weapons he can have at his disposal.

I like Auden Tate 6'5" not super fast but is a sure handed catcher (4th/5th round). If we find ourselves needing a returner I like the kid from Pitt WR Quadree Henderson he is short (5'8") but has great field vision and fast. Reminds me of Tarik Cohen, as a returner, who I wanted the Saints get last year.
