Thats fair but i dont see much option. Also, chances are you are signing him to a 1 year deal not like its a huge deal if he bust.

Sherman may be willing to be a mentor for the kid that went to the same school as him. While i dont care much for Sherman personally him helping a rookie out from a football perspective is a big plus

We pretty much see things the same. I don't think there is much better out there and Sherman may be willing to come in on a 1 year deal, so more than likely he is the target. I agree with the college connection with Paulson could also be a plus for both of them. Aging boundary CBs are a scary position to rely on and we have not had the best success there. I do think there was better options that signed for pretty good/cap friendly deals, but they may have not been interested in us or vise-versa.

We also agree with him as a person, so if he signs I hope he doesn't "lead" the same way that Jenkins failed our locker room.

No CB has ever been more synonymous with "guy cant play man and is simply a zone CB" and we literally play more man coverage than anyone.

He thrives in off man, not exactly zone. With our current personnel and hiring, it looks like we are moving to a cover 3 scheme, which Sherman thrives in.

Hes a zone-coverage corner. Thats a completely different position than press-man corners that we use.

Sooo...maybe they want to play more zone.

No team does or can play man all the time.

Want to play more zone? Bringing in Kris Richard and Richard Sherman makes sense.

Again, the Saints are interested. I’m sure they know as much about what type of CB he is as HesterCarries does.

Cover 3 is zone defense. No team plays any coverage more than 50% of the time anyway.

Ummm...the Saints are apparently interested. Hence, why people are talking about him.

And you know, he’s one of the best cornerbacks of the last decade.

If he comes here, he will start getting those PI and holding calls that he has gotten away with over the course of his career.
