Guy is old and is on the downside. I'm confused by the excitement. We have wrecked our cap again for the next two years without any long term option.

Yes, celebrate stability but this isn't 30 yr old Drew Brees. It's 39 yr old Drew Brees with noodlesque arm at times.

Good. Our team is good enough to be decent post Brees. We don’t need to mortgage the future

The Saints aren't winning the Super Bowl this year, bud. I think the team needs to start preparing for the next 5 years, not banking everything on one year.

All I'm saying is this team will be exponentially better once Drew retires and it's able to invest that 25M into younger productive players.

I'd want to see what Keenum clocks in at with the Broncos but if it's roughly half 25M, I'm not seeing this team being exponentially better with Brees over the affordable Keenum option, considering the increased focus on the running game.

But hey, 25M a year to a downside QB. Lets ride.

Looks like Drew got what he wanted and wasn’t too worried about helping the team.
Looks like you don't know what you're talking about.

I’m amazed you somehow posted something dumber than your previous post. We have a very young team and a great young core. Your rationalization is pretty bad.
