Hello Who Dats & Who Datettes. Welcome to the Week 11/Game 10 Saints Game Thread

The Saints come into today's second match-up of the season against the Tampa Bay reeling a bit after last week's flop at home against Atlanta and looking to right the ship and get back to the potential Super Bowl Champion form we saw prior to the bye week.

But given that the Saints didn't lose all that much last week when it comes to hopes for a 3rd straight division title (Panthers lost... Saints still 2 games up in NFC South) or even a 1st round bye/homefield advantage (49ers lost... so still 1 game back of 1-seed)... last week could've been a lot worse. But the team must recognize that the NFC is ultra-competitive this season with the NFC West winner, Saints, & Packers all vying for those top 2 seeds... so another loss like what happened last week can't happen again.

As noted, this is the 2nd meeting of the season between the Saints & Bucs... with the Saints coming out of the week 5 meeting in the Superdome with the Bucs with a 31-24 win. Teddy Bridgewater went 26/34 for 314 yds 4 TDs and an INT in the win while the Bucs really couldn't guard Mike as MT13 went off for 11 catches 182 yds and 2 TDs... and oh by the way... the Bucs no longer have Vernon Hargreaves... though the Saints are nowhere near healthy for this game... which we'll get to in a moment.

LET'S FINISH THE SWEEP OF THE JAMEIS & THE BUCS AND GET BACK TO FEELING GOOD ABOUT THE 2019 SAINTS AGAIN!!!

Last week's loss to the Falcons not only impacted our win-loss record negatively, but also the injury report as several key players will miss some key time, including today. Those include Andrus Peat with a broken arm and both Marshon Lattimore & Deonte Harris with hamstring injuries. However, the wide receiver corps should be bolstered by the return of Keith Kirkwood back in the line-up off of injured reserve for his own hamstring issue. Also, hopefully Terron Armstead is fully over the flu bug that ailed him so badly in last week's game and was a large contributor to the failure of the offensive line.

As noted above... starting CB Vernon Hargreaves was waived this week by Tampa Bay and is now a Houston Texan after being claimed off of waivers, so he won't be there. Neither will LBs Anthony Nelson (hamstring) & Carl Nassib (groin) or CB MJ Stewart (knee). CB Carlton Davis (hip) is questionable but went from not practicing on Wednesday to fully participating in practice by Friday.

Weather: Should be a beautiful day of football along the Florida Gulf Coast with temperatures in the low to mid 60s and partly cloudy with no chance of rain... though it might be a bit windy with winds coming out of the NNW around 10 mph all afternoon

Uniforms: The all-white uniforms are back for today's road game

Current Standings:
NFC South
Saints 7-2
Panthers 5-4

Dropping 2 straight would be devastating in the NFC and division. I'm pessimistic about this one but Geaux Saints!

I saw JT Gray lining up in coverage towards the end of last game after Latt went down. I'm not too hopeful

Why do we not use Carl Granderson? In the back up snaps he played, he was great rushing the passer.

Granderson would be active if we didn't have Hendrickson.

hey guys... please RA for sticky so we can get this thread stickied... which never happened last week and I have a sneaking suspicion that the MODs are trying to wreck the Saints season by not stickying these game threads

Downvote. OP way too long as usual. Annoying to scroll through and nobody needs / cares about this useless information.

If you absolutely must post that crap please do it on a reply to the OP. Nobody wants to have to scroll through this monstrosity of pictures and text 30 times to make posts.

Please check DaGaruns Cowboys thread on OP for an example of a great game thread OP.

You're gonna have to do better this week, rt3. You lost to the Falcons last week.
