Wouldn't hate it because we do lack depth (no obvious 5th safety) and I think he was a good influence on Vaccaro and his development.

He clearly isn't coming in to start at this point. It would also give us some options with Byrd, especially if he misses even more time. Harper as the third safety behing Bell and Vaccaro would be okay with me.

well he sure wouldnt be going in coverage against the slot in a 3rd down passing situation...

He would be used for depth and for goalline/running situations which he still excels at.

You know the team has gone down a wrong path when Saints fans are friendly to the idea of Roman Harper returning.

Bring Grandpa Harper home.

Nobody was opposed with keeping him, they were opposed with him playing heavy snap counts, especially against the pass.

Yes, there were people opposed to keeping him, but that's not really my point.

He was in heavy rotation for defensive pariah. The defense has been so shitty since that he doesn't seem so bad. That was really my point.

He's a good safety to have on obvious run downs. That's about it. Worth a vet min deal.

I'm fine with it. People freaking it need to chill. He wouldn't start. Letting Harper and Jenkins go hurt some on the field but way more in the locker room.

Their departures along with Will Smith and Vilma created a major leadership void, which led to Junior and the other arse clowns taking over.

Harper is a respected leader. This team needs more of those. Honestly, wouldn't be shocked if he one day joins the staff.

This is entirely too rational, you'd better check yourself.

Unless your talking about player/coach.

What a horrible article! The Saints have not expressed an interest in bringing back Harper. The author of the article merely floated the idea himself on Twitter. The rest of the article is just background on Harper with no actual news or revelations from actual sources.
