please! Just answer the damn question, dude, and cut the BS! Gathers is a tremendous athletic talent and was great pass catching the ball downfield when Dallas used him with the size he has and all, his problem was he can't block worth a shite, but that could be taught. But with a Brees throwing to him he could be a beast catching the ball out of a backup position.

No I’d rather see how Mack produces under Cook plus Arnold has plenty of potential just needs to improve on a couple places

Arnold has looked really good in camp. We don’t be adding any more tight ends barring injury. We’re set at the position.

Don’t forget J. Hill

When I think about the play where the Rams defender intentionally hit him head to head and pointed if out to the officials to get him out of the game, I start to believe in the fix.

So add a fourth TE that can't block with the already known not to be great blockers crew of Cooks, Arnold and Mack.

Would be a surprise move by CSP

Y'all remember Stephone Anthony's inability to learn a playbook? Multiply that by 10 and you have the offensive version of him.

No.

I was thinking more of guys who are coming up and still producing! At this point I’m thinking Josh Hill is a lifer with the saints lol he’s been here forever and unless one of the young guys really start balling out I don’t see him going anywhere. He doesn’t have the best hands but he’s almost always there when you need him most and is great in blocking situations

He is consistent and sometimes that's all you really need.

A lot of people on here totally are missing the point as usual and don't get it and they never will because, well, just because, not surprising though. My point was that Gathers is a tremendous athletic talent that at 6'6 almost 6'7 and weighing a muscular well balanced 290 lbs can fly for that size and had great hands catching the football. Dallas threw to him if they needed first downs or in the red zone, he just needs to keep working at blocking until he catches on because blocking doesn't come easy for some, but he did last 3 years in Dtown. I think someone like a Hill who is a really good blocker could continue to teach how to block. But I don't care because it's just a thought and that's all, I figured I'd get the kind of replies that I got, R Gathers is just like a J Graham a former basketballer that's a tremendous athlete that can do many things well except for blocking it seems. Lol He could have been used to spell J Cook for a minute when he got tired, but I doubt they sign him.

OK, Rico, we don't need you in New Orleans. You're sounding desperate in defending this guy with 3 catches his whole career.

The experiment is simply over. That's it.

I was talking preseason, Gathers was never a starter with the Cowboys because of blocking, but y'all are right I don't care, enough is enough. He has potential as a receiving TE and that's it until he improves as a blocker.
