Ginn being back was a huge spark. Kirkwood has one bad drop but he looked good other than that. Smith had a nice catch and run. Michael Thomas was Michael Thomas. Did not realize how much having Ginn back would help.

they still had trouble getting open at times. Brees took some coverage sacks and threw a few other away

Watson had one thrown behind him and then Burnett for the Steelers got to him before the ball did on another play.

He looked alright but i'd like to see the TE used more.

either him or Hill but I guess they do more blocking now?

We really needed Ginn.

We really have nobody at TE though. Watson isn’t the TE he was his last season with us, Hill can block but that’s it, and Arnold is a regular 3rd stringer.

Hill never has been and never will be a good receiver.

Watson is clearly wearing down, and was part of the reason for our struggles, along with the youngsters and TLL not being able to get open.

I know Arnold is a "TE" now, but he still isn't reliable enough as a blocker to be in on run plays, so him being in tips the play and he's basically a WR.

We really need a legit vertical threat at TE (not super fast but faster than an aging Watson). Watson still gets one now and then but we need someone that can consistently threaten that seam.

Ginn is an old man but he was sorely missed.

Ginn is still the fastest player on the team, old or not. He got more separation today than our receivers have in weeks, and it also opened it up for Thomas.

The young guys are still struggling, but they got a few looks today because it was more open.
