Ranking Saints players from the last 3 drafts

Because I'm bored (and should be working) and it's draft week:
Saints players drafted in 2018, 2019, and 2020:
1. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson
2. Erik McCoy
3. Tre'Quan Smith
4. Marcus Davenport
5. Adam Trautman
6. Cesar Ruiz
7. Will Clapp
8. Zack Baun
These are the players that are still on the team. 2020 picks rated lower mainly due to lack of playing time.
9. Boston Scott
10. Saquan Hampton
11. Kaden Elliss
12. Kamrin Moore
13. Natrell Jamerson
14. Alize Mack
15. Tommy Stevens - Payton wasted a pick just to troll
16. Rick Leonard - Took an OT in the 4th who was an UDFA
The last three drafts really haven't been that great but the Saints are hitting on 50% with players at least sticking on their roster so I'd say that probably above-average by NFL standards.
They miss so bad after round 4 that they should trade everything to load up on picks from rounds 1-3. Or try to trade late picks for veteran players.

You really can't hold 4-7 rounds against anyone's record. A hit there is house money, where a great player is the exception to the rule. If you look at our first 3 rounds, we have done pretty damn well.
With that said, Rick Leonard stands out as a terrible pick...all those other guys at least caught on with other teams.

Solid, I'd put McCoy at 1 and CGJ at 2. I'm hoping Baun progresses, felt good about that pick. I think Trautman will wind up being a very good player. I think Tre'Quan by now is what he is, homerun or bust games. Davenport I had high hopes for, keeps showing potential but never has a break through year. I think Ruiz will be a good lineman over the next year or 2.

I think Davenport is more of a difference maker than Smith. He's just universally hated because of the trade. But when healthy, he's pretty good.

Not only that... our roster has been so loaded the last few years making it even harder for lower picks to make the team even compared to other teams.
