PFF: Drew Brees among NFL’s elite under pressure or not

Pro Football Focus came out with an article on Thursday, Jul 11, showing Drew Brees to be among NFL’s best when under pressure or not.

For all the naysayers talking the decline of Drew Brees, here’s another one for you, and thanks to Pro Football Focus for providing more ammo.

Even for diehard Saints fans, there are still bits of data that come along regarding Drew Brees that seem to defy reality. And to think now how long he’s been with the team, it’s a multigenerational thing. There are literally families out there who were becoming fans when Brees came to town in 2006 who are now raising their kids to be Saints fans.

This newest bit of information from PFF concerns the quarterbacks in the NFL who, statistically, have the smallest drop-off when under pressure. The irony here is that Brees’ stats work against him being at the top of the list. He had to settle for third place.
?
The ranking is based on the lowest differential. Brees’ numbers when passing from a clean pocket are the best in the NFL. PFF scores him 95.1 in those situations. When under pressure, he gets a 75.3. That’s a difference of 19.8.
Again, both of those scores are highest in the league.
Patrick Mahomes comes in at second on the list with scores of 92.8 clean,  74.2 under pressure for a difference of 18.6.

Yeah we are

Another reason I’ll never understand the faction on this board that seems eager for us to move on to the next QB

Without our o line, Brees is Jameis Winston.

You could blind fold Brees for an entire game, and I would still start him over Winston.

Conspiracy time: Drew’s 2 SB wins were going to be against Peyton and Brady. NFL couldn’t let the true GOAT be known.

There's a certain percentage of the public that is just stupid. Just horribly fricking stupid. There's nothing that can be done about it. We just have to accept their horrible, horrible fricking stupidity.
