Now that the #Saints got their starting QB locked in... it's worth mentioning that they love backup Taysom Hill, too.

Said someone told him that he was farther along now than Romo was when Romo came in as a UDFA

This Taysom stuff feels like one long troll that just won't end.

If Taysom is the future, he should have no trouble with taking reigns as QB2 this year. That would be all i need to know.

Give the kid credit, he wanted to play so bad he went out there on special teams and was an animal. Now let’s see if that can translate over to being an animal at QB. Can’t question his passion tho!

Every year Ian says we gonna draft a QB we never do. This year Ian says we don’t draft a QB now we will.

Sean Payton was quoted by Aikman in saying that. I could be wrong about Aikman being the one to say it during a game, but it was broadcaster on Fox

This is about as close to an official statement from the front office that they are drafting Baker Mayfield as you're ever going to get.

Yeah I’m fairly confident we are shooting for mayfield to be groomed in the backup role. Seems like a perfect fit. Make some splashes in FA and that’ll cut the burn from less draft picks. Hitting on the last two drafts makes it much more feasible to do it this year on the last few years of Brees contract and career.

He's already a year older than Derek Carr and he is 3 years from being a starter. Zero room for error or development in 2020-2021.

He did both Carolina games in the Dome. He said it in one of them. I think the regular season game.
