...deadline to opt out is Thursday at 4 ET if u wanna add that to the bottom.

I’m assuming there will be a lot of free agency news going down shortly after the deadline.

Looks like Tre’Davious White might be opting out.

From Twitter:

“Crazy that me choosing my family’s wellbeing over a game comes with so called fans attacking and questioning me and saying I’m selfish. No you guys are selfish for thinking that football is bigger than life. Oh by the way my girl’s grandfather passed from COVID. U understand now?“

Tre Davious what about the ones who have to work since we are not millionairs during this pandemic who have lost loved ones?? fricking spoiled athlete. Dont work Mr. White and dont come back when this passes. These athletes are so selfish

I’m an LSU fan, so therefore I’m a Tre’davious fan, but I don’t understand why he would want to waste one of his “prime” years.

The virus, more than likely, will not affect him or his young family.

He has a better chance of dying in a car crash than dying of Covid 19.

Brees' balls opted out about a month ago. Do you think that'll have any impact?

Confirmed now that Tre is not opting out.

FWIW, he floated the idea of opting out to reporters earlier this week, then went on Twitter yelling about it when there was some backlash.

He was the one that started the drama solely to play the sympathy card on social media, then he rants against faceless internet people. Peak 2020 move.

Not sure if I am remembering correctly, but one of the sports shows said that his wifes father died from covid. Maybe it is something that has them scared, despite it not being as high of a risk for him.
