I know the defense played bad and they will bounce back. Too much talent in the secondary and on the defensive line not to.

Yesterday proved Brees is still in his ptime.

Saints need to win 3 out of next 4 and then after the bye come out on a big win streak like last year.

Um... Did you watch the game? Crawley will be targeted early and often, he better step up.

It was weird, I was more concerned about the offense than the defense before the game...

Well my opinion has definitely changed...

I was encouraged at least that Drew looks as good as ever. It’s a damn shame he’s had the misfortune to play with shitty defenses the majority of his career. He is unquestionably one of tGOAT QBs but doesn’t get hyped like Manning, Brady, Montana, etc. because of wins...which is in no way his fault. He can’t put up 40+ every week and neither could they. I just feel for him and am saddened that the bulk of his career is behind him.

Hopefully the D takes this as a wake up call and bounces back like they did last season, albeit against better teams.

Drew was money yesterday. One of his best performances I’ve seen in a while.

No doubt he's still playing at a high level but Tampa's D isn't that good.

Brees basically threw it Mike Thomas and Kamara all day.

with some Ted Ginn and a little Ben Watson sprinkled in.

I hate to see what its going to be like when we a play a good defense.

it should help a lot when we get Ingram back and the get Kamara/Ingram running combo up and going again.

So Brees isn't having to drop back to pass every play.

Yep. AND, after all of these years, this Era of the Saints relies 95 percent on Drew Brees to win the game with his brilliance. He has almost NO help. Season after season -- same story.

He scored 40 points against an NFL defense with some studs in their front 7....

Offense aint gonna be a problem this year...again

WE do need a number 2 WR to step up. But Mike T is showing to be the best WR in the league soooooo

When they showed Brees' first half stats, I opened the calculator.

He had completed 85% of his passes. Simply amazing.

Brees went 37/45 for an 82% COMPLETION PERCENTAGE YESTERDAY.

439 yards, 3TDs, 40 points

and a big, fat L.

I don't know that I can take another season of Drew playing otherworldly and no one in the NFL giving a shyte because our D gives up 40 points a game.

Guess he's on the Decline.

He went from 85% to 82% in just 30 minutes.

Does anyone realize how fricking good he was on that last drive to make the score 48-40? I know we were all down af after watching the D get worked all game, but holy shite, go back and watch Drew on our last offensive series. He made driving down the field to score a TD look so easy. He was hitting throw after throw like it was nothing.

It's a shame, because I had no doubt in my mind that one 3rd and long stop and Brees was going to tie that game up.
