There's no bad outcome today if the Saints win tomorrow.
I'll never be upset that the Falcons lost (especially since they play before us and I'd feel foolish "pulling" for them only to lose tomorrow).
However the preferred outcome is Falcons and Saints winning.

Exactly. If the Saints played Saturday and won, then the Falcons played Sunday, I'd probably root for them. But there's no way I cheer for them as the situation stands now.

In a perfect world, this happens and we win. Second best is Falcons lose today and we go to Philly and win.
Worst-case is, we play Falcons and lose. Unbearable. So I understand wanting the middle option. (Actually worst case would be us losing to Vikes and Falcons going to super bowl again.)
